Bombay is a strange place, any big city is, for that matter, for, look where you like there are stories galore. Our film narrates the story of a mysterious girl, young, pensively pretty and irresistible. She lives in an odd-looking house by the sea. Her name is Gopi.

The house in which she lives, is not hers. She came into that house. Not through marriage, as any other young girl comes into a house. She just came there, or let us say fate brought her. In this house it is Mohan and his widowed mother who live. Young Mohan was so film-stuck that he would do anything to get into a film company. Old mother was seriously trying to find a bride for her son, thinking that marriage would cure him. But then Gopi walked into the house with her elder brother.

Now, please do not jump to conclusions. Because what you expect would happen at this stage does not happen! In real life, things that happen on the screen, do happen. Our film prefers to stick to realism, and truth. And please do not jump to the other conclusion either.
Gopi and Mohan do not fall in love. Gopi of course loves Mohan, but Mohan loves, er, - he does not know what!

So our tory tickles the grey matter in your brain. Love there is, a lot. Romance there is as much as you want. But what variety? We will not answer you because, this variety of elemental passion and spiritual love you are getting for the first time on the screen. Why should we spoil your suspense by narrating all in this book. Better wait, and see the film for yourself.
